France

Concerned to ensure to the immigrant population in France the stability to which it may legitimately aspire, the French Government intends to promote as fully as possible opportunities for the migrant worker - in accordance with the provisions of Article 12 of the European Convention on the Legal Status of Migrant Workers - to be joined by his family.
This family reunion, however, can only be successful if the migrant worker has regular work and residence permits as well as adequate housing and steady resources.
Under these conditions, the French Government declares that any family reunion in France shall be subject to the provisions laid down in Article 12.2 of the Convention that is to say conditional upon "the migrant worker having steady resources sufficient to meet the needs of his family.
Making use of the possibility provided for under Article 36.1, the French Government declares, on the occasion of the approval of the European Convention on the Legal Status of Migrant Workers, that it makes a reservation in respect of Article 18 of the said Convention.

Germany

Referring to Article 36 of the Convention, the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany reserves the right, when it ratifies the European Convention on the Legal Status of Migrant Workers, which it will not be able to do until a date deemed appropriate from the point of view of the labour market, to make reservations at least in respect of Article 6, paragraph 1, Article 14, paragraph 1, and Article 18, paragraph 2, of the Convention.

Moldova

According to Article 36 of the Convention, the Republic of Moldova does not consider itself bound by the provisions of Articles 7, 10, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 22 and 27 of the Convention
The Republic of Moldova declares that, until the full re-establishment of the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, the provisions of the Convention will be applied only on the territory controlled effectively by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

Netherlands, the Kingdom of the

With regard to the import duties, the Kingdom of the Netherlands reserves the right to grant the exemptions referred to in Article 7, paragraph 3, in accordance with the national provisions in force.
The Kingdom of the Netherlands reserves for the single national authority appointed in application of Article 11, paragraph 3, of the Convention the option to use the form referred to in paragraph 2 of that Article only when such use has been decided upon by mutual agreement between that authority and the authority of another Contracting Party or the authorities concerned of other Contracting Parties, or by the Minister of Justice of the Netherlands.
I have the honour to inform you, in pursuance of Article 12, paragraph 2, of the Convention, that the Kingdom of the Netherlands makes the family reunion referred to in paragraph 1 of that Article further conditional upon the migrant worker having steady resources sufficient to meet the needs of his family.

Norway

In conformity with Article 36, the Government of Norway reserves the right not to recognise or enforce according to Article 11, paragraph 1, decisions and settlements relating to maintenance obligations between persons related collaterally and between persons related by affinity.
In conformity with Article 12, paragraph 2, the Government of Norway declares that it will make the family reunion referred to in Article 12, paragraph 1, further conditional upon the migrant worker having steady resources to meet the needs of his family.

Ukraine

Ukraine recognizes the migrant workers' right to organise for the protection of their economic and social interests except political parties and trade unions.
