Belgium

The authority empowered to send or receive documents and notifications (article 5 of the Convention) is the Ministry of Justice.
The authorities designated in article 4 are the judicial authorities.

France

19-07-1983

The authority empowered to send or receive documents and notifications (article 5 of the Convention) is the Ministry of Justice or the public prosecutor’s office at the place where the rectified record or the record to be rectified was drawn up.
The authority designated in article 4 is the president of the court, at the place where the record to be rectified was drawn up, deciding under the conditions laid down by article 99 of the Civil Code.

Germany

The authority empowered to send or receive documents and notifications (article 5 of the Convention) is the Standesamt I Berlin-Dahlem.
The authorities designated in article 4 are ‘Amtsgerichte’ at the place where a ‘Landgericht’ has its seat.

Luxembourg

The authority empowered to send or receive documents and notifications (article 5 of the Convention) is the Ministry of Justice.
The authority designated in article 4 is the district court.

Netherlands, the Kingdom of the

The authority empowered to send or receive documents and notifications (article 5 of the Convention) is the Ministry of Justice.
The authority designated in article 4 is the district court.
As regards the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in view of the equality that exists from the public-law perspective between the Netherlands and the Netherlands Antilles, the terms ‘metropolitan territory’ and ‘extra-metropolitan territories’, used in the text of the convention, will be considered as signifying ‘European territories’ and ‘non-European territories’.

Switzerland

The authorities designated in article 4 are the cantonal supervisory authorities for civil status matters.
