The International Grains Agreement 1995 consisted of the Grains Trade Convention 1995
(see treaty number 006249; UNTC XIX.41a) and the Food Aid Convention 1995 (see treaty
number 006250, UNTC XIX.41b). The Food Aid Convention 1994 was replaced by the Food
Aid Convention 1999 (UNTC XIX.41c).
As of 2012, the Food Aid Convention 1999 was not extended and therefore ceased to
be in force (Trb. 2019, 126). Instead, the Food Assistance Convention, adopted on
25 April 2012 at London, entered into force on 1 January 2013 (UNTC XIX.48). The Kingdom
of the Netherlands is not a party to the latter Convention; the European Union has
become a party in 2012.
