The Kingdom of the Netherlands declares that:
a. parties to contracts of carriage according to which the port of loading or the place of delivery are located in its own territory, may, by contract, declare this Convention applicable;
b. it will also apply this Convention to carriage free of charge.

Switzerland

Declaration made by Switzerland
Declaration concerning article 30, paragraph 1: Switzerland will not apply the Convention to its inland navigable waterways, including the waterways at its frontiers other than the Rhine from the Swiss frontier upstream to Rheinfelden.
Declaration concerning article 31 (a): Switzerland will also apply the Convention to the carriage of goods on the Rhine between the Swiss frontier and Rheinfelden.
